Design your own "Flip-Flop" Reversible necklace from our beautiful selection of Japanese Chiyogami papers. Chiyogami is beautifully silkscreened paper developed in the Japanese Edo period (1603-1867) by rural papermakers for decorating their homes. The designs were inspired by elegant kimonos.
Note that each Washi necklace features a small piece of the silk-screen chiyogami paper protected by an acrylic window. This provides for rich colors and metallic accents, but it is also why they are not completely waterproof, unlike our custom photo jewelry. Each pattern is cut from a much larger sheet of individually silk-screened paper and because of this the pattern you choose will not exactly match the image in the gallery. Every piece of jewelry is absolutely unique.
Availabe in both sterling silver and 14K vermeil. Choose your chain length and finish below, then click "customize it" and use the washi paper patterns bar to create your necklace just as you like it.
